The beginnings of some new ideas about the Baroque, pattern, nature, control, and the massive impact of humans on the natural world. ...
Whilst in residence at the Museum of Loss and Renewal in Molise, Italy I started some experimental collaborations with non-human creatures that inhabit the rural landscape. Ephemeral works in the form of small paintings on rice paper, and rocks decorated with baroque designs made of icing sugar were left outdoors for intervention by local insects, birds and animals. I also shot a lot of video footage of the local vegetation (watch this space).
